Exploring the Pancha Kosha
The Five Sheaths of Human Existence are a Yogic Paradigm that attempts to identify the various layers, and levels of our being. Moving through ever more subtle realms, each kosha gives us a framework to understand how, and who, we ultimately are. This simple concept is often taught to Yoga Teachers during initial training and also offers a good theme for teaching Yoga Classes.
In this CPD Day, we will explore the Pancha Kosha in more detail, looking at the ancient texts that brought them to life, and also finding unique and creative ways of developing lesson plans around the theme of the Five Sheaths. This is a very interactive day with lots of opportunity to share ideas and brainstorm.
Creative Lesson Planning
At first glance, you may be tempted to go down the obvious path when integrating the Koshas into your classes: Asana for the Annamaya Kosha, Pranayama for the Pranamaya Kosha, Meditation for the Manomaya Kosha, etc. But there is a more creative way that we can bring each element into each kosha. That is what we will be exploring on this CPD Day.
