Cultivating Joy

A full day of nurture, fun, cultivating joy, and a celebration of Summer.

An opportunity to reconnect with yourself, and with Nature.

A Celebration of Summer

All too often the British summer fails to deliver. They are too short, too wet, too cold. This special Yoga Day will allow us to celebrate all that is good and wonderful about Summertime. It is the time of joy, of heart-opening, of flip flops and t-shirts, or paddling and occasional endless blue skies.

Our day together will expand on this shared sense of joy, excitement and openness. We will move our bodies, share nourishing food, walk and meditate in nature, sing our hearts out, rest our minds and souls, and finish with a blessing and celebratory ritual of all that we have to be grateful for.

This day will nourish your mind, body, belly & soul.

RNLI Donations

In Summer my thoughts always go to the RNLI – the wonderful volunteer Lifeboat crews. They are one of only two emergency services not to be funded by public money (the other being the Air Ambulance service). I will be donating 15% of the proceeds of this day to the RNLI again this year.

If you cannot attend the day, but would still like to donate, please get in touch. I will be happy to accept additional donations.

Feedback from the Spring Yoga Day

“Just Fabulous”

“Julie’s Spring Yoga Day Retreat was just fabulous!  Her expertise, knowledge and meticulous planning meant the day was a joy, and the perfect welcome for Spring.  Beginning with the Nabhi Exploration, a contemplative session of self-examination, followed by an Asana practice, breathwork and meditation we then ate an al fresco lunch as the weather was so gorgeous!  Julie presented and explained a number of cultured and sprouted foods, and there was plenty to sample – and to learn, for those of us who were new to it all.  After lunch we did a beautiful walk that Julie had devised, settling in an idyllic spot by the stream to focus on elemental meditations.  Back to the hall for the last session – a formal Welcome to Spring. All utterly uplifting and a wonderful chance to step away from the pressing demands of everyday life for a little while.  If you didn’t make it this time, I strongly recommend you book for the next one!”

“It was everything I expected and much, much more!”

“I attended the Spring Yoga Day and absolutely loved it.  It was everything I expected and much much more.

Julie’s attention to detail and caring nature shone through and we all had an amazing day.

Can’t wait for the next session.”

“Wonderful from start to finish”

“The day was wonderful from start to finish, a perfect blend of asana, breathwork, self exploration (with a focus on the Nabhi) and meditation. This was all complemented by the beautiful and peaceful location she had chosen for the day and I particularly enjoyed the nature walk and woodland meditation incorporating all of the elements. We enjoyed a healthy lunch alfresco in the sunshine and Julie also gave us an insight into the health benefits of sprouted & cultured foods which was very interesting especially for those of us that had little knowledge on the subject – she even brought plenty of samples for us to try! The day was very well planned by Julie & it was obvious how much effort she’d gone to to make the day so lovely & uplifting for us. It was a welcome retreat from the stresses and strains of everyday life. The perfect welcome to Spring. I now can’t wait for the Summer retreat!
